Delve into the life and times of the Brontë sisters on this richly immersive four-day tour, in the company of Lucy Worsley
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales, join
expert historian Lucy Worsley on this wonderful literary tour -
offering rare insights, evocative landscapes and exclusive access
to the places that shaped the lives and work of Charlotte, Emily
and Anne Brontë.
You'll be based at the Herriots Hotel in Skipton, a Grade II
listed Victorian boutique hotel, for three nights with breakfast
and dinner included.
Step into Brontë country with a private visit to the Brontë
Parsonage Museum in Haworth. You'll explore the sisters' former
home, the church where their father preached, and the atmospheric
village they called home. Lucy Worsley will be joining you for the
day, giving a talk and Q&A session for guests.
You'll also spend time in Thornton, with a visit to the Brontë
Birthplace, the house in Market Street where Anne, Charlotte and
Emily Brontë, and their brother Branwell, were born. Further
highlights include a self-guided visit of Bolton Abbey, where
you'll hear from a local Brontë expert.
"Ann's talk was very interesting in a relevant modern
location. It was lovely to meet Lucy and hear her take on the
Brontës, she was very friendly and approachable."
