THE LOCATION

The medina is 15 minutes by car, while the Argan Golf Resort is on the opposite side of the highway and Beldi Country Club is next door. However, this is a place where guests tend to stay put.

A car or taxi is necessary if you wish to explore, as the hotel is located in the desert landscapes of Route d'Amizmiz.

By plane: London or Manchester to Marrakech takes around 3 hours 45 minutes, after which, it's a 10-minute drive to the hotel. Free on-site parking available. Book flights to Marrakech.

CHARACTER & STYLE

The hotel has the wow factor and was created by leading French designer Jacques Garcia. Interiors are colourful yet opulent. There's a long sunken pool with loungers, surrounded by palms. The grounds are full of olive and citrus trees, and make for a peaceful stroll.

THE FACILITIES

Unusually, check-out is not until a leisurely midday. Free bikes are available to hire, if you'd like to cycle around the grounds. There's also a gym and spa. Shop for Moroccan-crafted goodies in the luxurious boutique.

Food & Drink

Assyl means authentic in Moroccan and this flagship dining room is a formal affair. We recommend the lobster tagine, followed by a floodlit equestrian show in the adjacent arena with mint tea. Le Selman is slightly more relaxed and serves comforting dishes from roasted asparagus to rosemary lamb chops.

Assyl: garden restaurant, Moroccan cuisine. Open daily for dinner.

Le Pavilion: garden restaurant, Mediterranean cuisine. Open daily for breakfast and dinner.
