THE LOCATION

The hotel is near the southeast corner of Bois de Boulogne. A cluster of major sports venues are nearby including Stade Roland Garros (tennis), Parc des Princes (Paris Saint-Germain football team) and Stade Jean-Bouin (Stade Français rugby team).

In the heart of 16th Arrondissement, Michel Ange Molitor Métro station is a ten-minute walk east and the ride into the city centre takes half an hour.

By plane: London or Manchester to Paris Charles de Gaulle takes 1 hour 15 minutes, after which, it's a 40-minute drive to the hotel. Paid parking available nearby. Book flights to Paris.

By train: London to Paris Gare du Nord takes 2 hours 20 minutes, after which, it's a 40-minute drive to the hotel. Book trains to Paris.

CHARACTER & STYLE

Art Deco fans will love it here, as the hotel recreates the blue-and-yellow colour scheme of this former swimming venue with a touch of contemporary flair. There's a blue Rolls-Royce Corniche parked in the lobby giving a sense of fun - it used to belong to footballer Eric Cantona and has since been tagged by graffiti artist Jonone.

Staff are friendly and deal with any requests promptly. Guests and members of the hotel's exclusive club can make the most of the facilities including an indoor and outdoor pool, large gym with yoga studio, hairdressing salon and restaurant. Check-in is not until 4 pm.
