MORE INFORMATION

THE LOCATION

The hotel is in the southeast of Corfu, in the town of Agios Ioannis Peristeron, overlooking the Ionian Sea. It's over the road from the beach, in a relatively quiet area, away from the big tourist resorts.

It's little more than 100m from sister hotel Nido and its extra facilities. The airport and Corfu town are less than 30 minutes by car.

By plane: London to Corfu takes just over 3 hours, after which, it's a 30-minute drive from the airport. Free on-site parking available. Book flights to Corfu.

CHARACTER & STYLE

Geared towards families, the hotel is very different in ambience to its sister hotel Nido, next door. You have the sea on one side and tree-clad hills the other, making for beautiful views. The grounds are charming with flowerbeds adorned with flowers, lavender, olive and pomegranate trees.

THE FACILITIES

Facilities include a choice of swimming pools (including one for kids), sports courts (tennis, football) and a water sports centre. There are 12 bars and restaurants, a gym with studio for classes, and a creche and kids' club for younger guests. The beach can be accessed from the elevated garden and is just over the road.

Rooms are fairly similar in design with simple, contemporary décor. Some have tall glass doors leading to a balcony, terrace or small garden area. There are even some rooms with private plunge pools.

FOOD & DRINK

Dining options have something for everyone - Platea (Greek), Comodo (Italian), Celeste (French), Kum Kuat (Pan-Asian) and La Terazza (international buffet). The Deck Bar and Grill offers grills and seafood. We loved the grilled sea bream on a fava bean puree with vegetables.

Celeste: French fine dining, open for dinner.

Kum Kuat: indoor and alfresco restaurant, Pan-Asian cuisine. Open for breakfast and dinner.

Platea: relaxed taverna restaurant, Greek cuisine. Open for breakfast and dinner.
