THE LOCATION
From the hotel, you'll be able to see some of London's most famed skyscrapers, including the Gherkin, Walkie Talkie, Scapel, Heron Tower and Cheesegrater. Spitalfields Market is one of the finest Victorian market halls in London, with stalls ranging from flowers and fashion to artisan food and drink - it's less than ten minutes by foot.
The hotel is bang in the middle of one of the world's leading financial centres.
By car: around 4 hours 30 minutes from Manchester and 3 hours from Bristol. Paid parking available nearby.
By train: Liverpool Street station is a 2-minute walk away. Book trains to London.
CHARACTER & STYLE
The design gives a sense of space, through its high ceilings and cool calming colours and fabrics. The ambience is cutting-edge European mixed with delicate Asian touches, such as bamboo plants and pretty nature-inspired paintings. The Ginger Lily bar sets the scene with low lighting and a long bar.
THE FACILITIES
It was nice to be offered a handmade Belgian chocolate whilst being checked in. Well-behaved pets on a lead or in a pet carrier can explore the hotel in designated areas.

Rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and are decorated in cool tones with grey blinds and neutral upholstery. Blue cushions, silvery leaf paintings and pot plants add to the serene décor. Beautiful marble bathrooms have walk-in showers, baths and heated floors.

The restaurant serves a fusion of - Southeast Asian flavours combined with western techniques - for an extravagant twist; for example, the lobster laksa includes a half lobster. Dishes are accompanied by anecdotes, such as the teapot double boiled soup with galangal which has numerous 'medical benefits.' The jellyfish tartare, mooli and shaved truffle was memorable and moreish.
