CHARACTER & STYLE

The hotel is built around three courtyards, which can feel a bit maze-like. The décor is authentic Moroccan, with carved wood and plaster, colourful tiles and richly coloured textiles - and looks splendid.

THE FACILITIES

Staff are friendly and efficient. Thoughtful touches include complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day, and guests are given a mobile phone, which is ideal if you're lost or need advice.

Rooms

Most suites have a terrace, but whichever you choose, you'll have a stunning individually-designed space, complete with traditional features (colourful rugs, a handmade bed and intricate plasterwork). Bathrooms contain Molton Brown toiletries.

Room types: Suite 1-10

Key amenities: ensuite bathroom with toiletries, air conditioning, TV, docking station, phone, Wi-Fi

Food & Drink

The restaurant Le Trou au Mur is across the street and is set over three floors with a rooftop terrace. It serves classic Moroccan cuisine, which you can also order to dine in-suite. We recommend the charmoula sardines stuffed with spiced vegetables followed by mixed mershoui (three different cuts of roast lamb) served with grilled courgettes.

Le Trou au Mur: rooftop restaurant, Moroccan cuisine. Open daily for lunch and dinner.
