THE LOCATION
In the smart Bootham district, set back from the main road, the hotel feels relatively private. It's a 10-minute walk to the walls, a few minutes further to the Minster or York City Art Gallery.
By car: the hotel is 45 minutes from Leeds, 1 hour 35 minutes from Manchester and over 4 hours from London. Paid on-site parking available.
By train: London Kings Cross to York takes around 2 hours, after which, the hotel is 5 minutes by taxi (or a 15-minute walk). Book trains to York.

CHARACTER & STYLE
The handsome period features - lofty central atrium, sweeping staircase, grand sash windows - have been successfully blended with a contemporary, metropolitan style. Those who like a modern townhouse style and who prefer to be out of the city centre will like it here.
