THE LOCATION

The hotel is located in the Regola neighbourhood, on the edge of Rome's historic Jewish quarter. You're close to Via Giulia and the bohemian Trastevere district.

The Colosseum, Spanish Steps and Forum are around a 20-minute walk away.

By plane: London to Rome takes 2 hours 25 minutes; Manchester to Rome takes 2 hours 40 minutes - after which, it's a 30-minute drive to the hotel. Paid parking available nearby. Book flights to Rome.

CHARACTER & STYLE

Owner Marco Cilia and South African interior designer Tristan Du Plessis are the duo behind the hotel's décor, with a lot of grey and black creating a moody feel. Expect a mix of exposed brick, wood panelling, marble and velvet, with a mix of mid-century Italian furniture and contemporary street art.

Service is very good. Facilities include a restaurant and lobby bar. There's a real feel of luxury despite this being a four-star hotel.
