Explore the life and career of the iconic former prime minister, from his birthplace at Blenheim Palace and Chartwell home to the Churchill War Rooms in Whitehall and the Imperial War Museum at Duxford - staying in five-star luxury

It was 80 years ago that Winston Churchill delivered his famous "We shall fight on the beaches" speech in the aftermath of the Dunkirk evacuation. June also marks the 76th anniversary of Operation Overlord, better known as D-Day, which precipitated the Allies' victory over Nazi oppression.

On this fascinating five-day tour, you'll walk in the footsteps of the revered wartime prime minister during trips to the key sites of his life and premiership. Bringing Churchill to life for you will be the award-winning historian and biographer Andrew Roberts, author of Hitler and Churchill: Secrets of Leadership and Churchill: Walking with Destiny.

Andrew will join you at the Churchill War Rooms, the basement offices in Whitehall that housed the underground nerve centre of Churchill and his inner circle during the Second World War. You'll wander through the same corridors as they did during a private tour, before you enjoy a glass of prosecco and a three-course dinner followed by an exclusive talk from Andrew.

You will spend four nights in luxury at the five-star Royal Horseguards Hotel in the heart of London, and from there will enjoy air-conditioned coach transport to your destinations. You will visit Churchill's birthplace - the spectacular Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire - his school Harrow, as well as his home at Chartwell, Kent, where he and his wife Clementine lived for 40 years. At St Martin's Church near Blenheim, you can pay your respects at his final resting place.
