Discover the Cotswolds with rare breed farmer Adam Henson - APRIL 2021
For up-to-date advice on travel and COVID-19, see our homepage.
Spring is a wonderful time to visit the Cotswolds, as wild flowers begin to bloom all across the green fields of Gloucestershire. Our latest gardens tour will showcase the best of this beautiful region, with visits to the Westonbirt National Aboretum, Daylesford Organic Farm, Painswick Rococo Garden and two Arts and Crafts inspired properties - Hidcote Gardens in Chipping Camden and Rodmarton Manor, which is between Cirencester and Tetbury.
The highlight of this tour, though, will be a very special welcome to the Cotswold Farm Park by its charming owner Adam Henson. Adam was born on the 650-hectare farm, which belonged to his father Joe Henson, and now runs it with his business partner Duncan. Adam will join you for a private lunch and give a talk about his conservation work and sustainable farming as well as his role as a TV presenter. You'll also have plenty of time to explore the farm which specialises in rare breeds.
You'll be staying in the picturesque town of Cheltenham for five nights and have plenty of time to soak up the idyllic rural scenery of the Cotswolds. Alongside your guided tours, you'll also enjoy a fascinating visit to Whichford Pottery in Shipston-on-Stour, where you can pick up some inspiring container planting ideas, and indulge in a traditional cream tea at the historic Lygon Arms Hotel in Broadway.
