The design gives a sense of space, through its high ceilings and cool calming colours and fabrics. The ambience is cutting-edge European mixed with delicate Asian touches, such as bamboo plants and pretty nature-inspired paintings. The Ginger Lily bar sets the scene with low lighting and a long bar.

It was nice to be offered a handmade Belgian chocolate whilst being checked in. Well-behaved pets on a lead or in a pet carrier can explore the hotel in designated areas.

The restaurant serves Singaporean classics with an extravagant twist; for example, the lobster laksa includes a half lobster. Dishes are accompanied by anecdotes, such as the teapot double boiled soup with galangal which has numerous 'medical benefits.' The jellyfish tartare, mooli and shaved truffle was memorable and moreish.
